To celebrate after all the races were over, we went to the old standby, The Olive Garden.
They braved the cold (for Florida), wind and rain to support Heather. Just like he said, "She's the daughter I never had!"
While walking around the beach, we were surprised to see the Mapei van dragging the strip! The story goes that Mapei makes Ft. Lauderdale their wintertime headquarters. They are the ones responsible for resurfacing the Brian Piccolo Velodrome. Thank you Mapei!
Doc had some computer problems so I tried my best to get things straightened out. It kind of made me feel at home!
Ft. Lauderdale is a big port for cruise ships. While at the beach for only a few hours, we saw no less than five of these huge ships go out to sea.

Gideon wins this heat of the Match Sprint. He's definitely one big dude! I haven't talk with him but Heather has and she says he's super nice.
