Saturday was the road race championship. The Men 1–3 raced 89 miles. It was warm so I didn’t race and supported Uhl in the feed zone. The race went out and did three laps and then came in for the finish, which was on top of a 400 m steep climb. A break of two got away for a couple of laps, but as they headed to the finish, the group was all together. Eric Rumps (George’s) nipped Cody Hall (IMT/BOC) at the line for the win. Matt Newbill was 3rd, Uhl (IMT/BOC) was 4th, and Kelly Williamson (IMT/BOC) 5th. It was a great result for Uhl.
