Heather had a good time trial this morning. The course looked like fun with a lot of ups and downs, good pavement, and sweeping turns. Plus it was a loop, much more fun than a boring out-and-back with those pesky 180° turnarounds! Even though Heather didn’t have our super-slick time trial bike, she still rode a really good time and ended up getting 4th! Not bad for racing on a standard road bike with clip-ons! Since this is an omnium, it really doesn’t matter how much time she lost compared to the top three; the points spread is what’s important. And the road race and criterium have more points to be had than the TT, so as long as she races smart and places high in both, she still has a good shot at the overall. So things are looking good. So Heather, stop posing and just finish that banana!
