5×5 Minute VO2s and LT

Click to view intervalsI’ve been taking it easy since the weekend, so today was the first day doing a “real” workout. I got on the rollers and after a good warm-up I launched into 5×5 VO2 intervals with 4-minute rest. They were pretty tough but I managed to produce consistent wattage across the set.

I followed up the VO2s with a 20-minute LT interval. Those are always tough after a set of VO2s. Power was okay, but the perceived exertion was quite high for my wattage. I was hoping that the blow-out efforts I did yesterday would help, but no such luck! But hey, at least I’m getting used to suffering. That’s what cycling is all about…right?!?
