Thanksgiving Intervals

20071122cropAfter returning from our cruise a couple of weeks ago, we decided that we would just have a low-key Thanksgiving weekend. We both had medium-hard workouts scheduled for today. Heather did some torturous workout coach Alex planned for her, while I did another 2×20 LT workout out on the rollers

I wanted to see if I could do my intervals at a lower cadence since yesterday I found using lower RPMs made it much easier to keep my wattage up. It seemed to work and the only reason the average power of my first interval was lower was that I was trying to get some videos to run on my computer. I have a computer set up in front of my rollers and use a wireless mouse and keyboard to access our music library, watch videos and even surf the web (usually reading the Wattage forums). But during my second interval, I just put some music on and was able to focus on my power output. After my intervals, my legs felt like Jell-o so it must have been a good workout. Then we had a quiet Thanksgiving dinner at home and watched some DVDs later in the evening.
